Laura Gillespie began her nursing career in 1987 after graduating from Northeast Mississippi Community College. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Union University in Jackson, and later pursued a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, where she graduated and began her practice as a Nurse Practitioner in 1999.Laura is knowledgeable and experienced in several areas of medicine. With nearly four decades of nursing experience, she holds multiple board certifications and has received numerous awards for her professional success.Her background in emergency care and working with surgical patients has shown her the importance of preventing patients from needing emergency interventions through quality care. This experience has also fueled her passion for providing care that allows patients to heal comfortably at home, avoiding extended hospital stays whenever possible.Notable Expertise and InterestLaura has notable expertise in emergency and surgical medicine, IV hydration, and Type 1 Diabetes.
